Baton Rouge Families & Teens Project

Data Collection Approach

5th graders and their parents will be recruited through the East Baton Rouge Parish Schools in 2006 & 2007. Parents and pre-teens will be interviewed in their homes in the following summer. The interviews will include questions about parenting, parent-adolescent relationships, behavior problems, and beliefs about parenting and adolescents. Parents and pre-teens will be re-interviewed the next two summers. Families will be compensated for participating in the research.
