Student Opportunities

There are many opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to participate in the Baton Rouge Families & Teens Project. Students will interview parents and teens, visit schools to recruit participants, and help to process and analyze data. Current and future graduate students are invited to consider coordinating their Thesis or Dissertation research with the Baton Rouge Families & Teens Project. All students are invited to talk with Dr. Laird about receiving academic credit in exchange for their work with the project. Some paid research assistant and summer interviewer positions will be available.

Please complete a Research Assistant Application if you are interested in opportunities with the Baton Rouge Families and Teens Project during the academic year or a Summer Interviewer Application if you are interested in a paid position as a parent or pre-teen interviewer during the summer. Also check here for more information about the summer interviewer positions.
